Major/Essential Functions

Content Strategy & Message Development (40%)

  • Develops clear, targeted messaging and content strategies to support departmental objectives and student engagement.
  • Writes and edits messaging for mass emails, campaign announcements, student outreach scripts, and web content.
  • Crafts consistent content strategies for long-term campaigns, ad placements, and targeted outreach.
  • Collaborates with university partners to ensure content alignment across platforms and units.
  • Builds and maintains a library of communication templates and resources.
Marketing Calendar & Campaign Coordination (30%)
  • Manages the marketing calendar and project workflow to ensure efficient communication planning and execution.
  • Maintains a master calendar of campaigns, events, and communication deliverables.
  • Schedules and facilitates Marketing Meetups to align team members, clarify roles, and track progress on initiatives.
  • Communicates project status updates to stakeholders and monitors milestones.
  • Assigns communication tasks to appropriate team members, ensuring involvement of all necessary stakeholders.
  • Tracks milestones and deadlines to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within scope.
Supervision (20%)
  • Directly supervises the Web Developer and Content Specialist and indirectly supervises 2-3 student assistants.
  • Provides training, performance feedback, and scheduling support to ensure effective execution of tasks.
  • Evaluates team needs and implements systems or tools to support effective content development and delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.

Pay Statement
