Overview

Responsible for supporting the People & Culture (P&C) function within the Clean Energy and Infrastructure (CE&I) Renewables market sector of MasTec, leading HR operations for their respective groups. This role will focus on business growth, workforce strategy, consulting, talent initiatives, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership development programs in alignment with the Renewables group's operational goals. The Senior Manager - Human Resources will ensure consistent application of policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal employment laws and company standards. This role contributes to initiatives such as engagement survey action planning, performance and development planning, and recruitment strategies, partnering closely with segment P&C teams. The position provides both leadership and day-to-day HR support to operational teams, driving HR compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Consult and coach departmental leaders to support the business's vision and objectives.
    Oversee daily operations of P&C teams.
  • Conduct research on workforce trends using HR data and metrics, including dashboards and Power BI.
    Collaborate with leaders to develop talent strategies and resource forecasting.
  • Review HR data and advise leadership on strategies to retain talent and enhance the business.
  • Prepare and deliver information on HR policies and best practices to senior leadership and staff.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner by aligning human capital strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead performance management, employee development, and succession planning in the Renewables group.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor HR team members for effective service delivery and growth.
  • Partner with leaders to develop HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with training to guide employees on HR best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with senior management to understand needs and recommend workforce planning improvements.
  • Participate in designing long-range HR objectives focused on staffing and talent management.
    Provide guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and corrective actions.
  • Lead changes with leaders on planning and communication.
  • Collaborate with Compensation Manager on promotions and pay adjustments for equity.
    Review contracts and laws for compliance upon project awards.
  • Encourage leaders to focus on developing top talent.
    Advise on Labor Relation Policy and Union Activity
  • Guidelines, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain HR knowledge to ensure compliance with laws and identify efficiencies.
  • Coach management on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and employee relations laws.
  • Lead special projects aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Provide daily guidance to HRBPs and oversee onboarding/training for new HRBPs.
  • Responsible for supervising HRBPs and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Seven+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
