Job Title: HR Executive/ HR Generalist/ HR Manager (Learning/Development)

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr/ on W2

Location: 1 Capitol Hill, Providence, RI, 02908

Duration: 12+ Months

Hours/week: 35hrs

Shift timings: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Summary:

  • The Human Resource Analyst II (HR II) works within the Office of Learning and Development as part of the Talent Management Unit in the Division of Human Resources.
  • The Office of Learning and Development develops and coordinates with line agencies new and expanded training opportunities statewide, fostering professional growth across diverse subject areas.
  • The incumbent supports all learning and development initiatives, as well as the Employee Incentive In-Service Training Program and New Employee Orientation. In addition, assists the Chief Learning Officer with the planning and implementation of ERP Workday Learning.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration and maintenance of records pertaining to the Incentive Inservice. Training Program through a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and management within the State of Rhode Island Employee In-Service Incentive Training Program and its role in public personnel administration.
  • Point of contact for employees, Departments/Agencies, Co-Sponsoring entities, and Unions with information regarding the Incentive Program.
  • Provides detailed analysis and/or reports regarding, but not limited to, the Incentive Program, employee incentive status, mandatory course compliance status, migration/implementation of ERP Workday Learning, etc., for Departments, Agencies, ETSS (IT).

    This position requires extensive and current HR expertise, particularly in the areas of learning and development.
  • It also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced technological skills, the ability to quickly adapt to new technology, and the ability to operate independently and efficiently, while also serving as a contributing member of a team.
  • In addition, he/she must be able to maintain the utmost level of confidentiality; to prioritize appropriately; to demonstrate sound judgment and decision making; and complete deliverables in a timely manner.


Required Education:


  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in human resources management or a closely related field and three+ years of experience in a learning and development or human resources generalist role.
