Department Summary The University of North Texas at Dallas launched the Center for Socioeconomic Mobility through Education (CSME) in 2022. The CSME's purpose is to accelerate socioeconomic mobility by advancing well-being, wisdom, and wealth through individual and collective learning in southern Dallas County. Housed within the Academic Affairs Division, the primary focus is on serving UNT Dallas students; the Center also collaborates with partners to improve outcomes in our region. Position Overview The Dallas Promise Scholars Program is being newly launched within the Center for Socioeconomic Mobility through Education (CSME). CSME partners with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate upward mobility for UNT Dallas students and the local community through initiatives that advance well-being, wisdom, and wealth. The Dallas Promise Scholars Program is launching with six full-time staff members - a Director and five Student Success Coaches. Four of the student success coaches will serve transfer students from Dallas College and one of the coaches will serve first-time in college students. This team works closely in coordination with other student success professionals and CSME staff.
