The Director of Fields of the Future Initiatives provides strategic leadership, vision, and coordination for a portfolio of cross-cutting initiatives that address emerging global challenges and innovation opportunities. This includes overseeing the Business of Sustainability, AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work, and the Business of Sports. The Director ensures that these initiatives are integrated into the School's mission and co-curricular programming, thereby enhancing student impact, thought leadership, and convening power. The Director plays a leadership role in identifying new areas of exploration, cultivating partnerships, and aligning initiative efforts with the Dean's strategic priorities. This role includes oversight of initiative planning, resource management, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work Interactions The Director reports directly to the Chief of Staff and collaborates regularly with the Dean, Initiative faculty directors, senior administrators, advancement, alumni and external partners, and colleagues across Georgetown. This role contributes to the mission of the school as the Fields of the Future are one of the dean's defining strategic priorities. It is at the intersection of business and the aforementioned critical areas (i.e., sustainability, AI, and Future of Work, healthcare, etc) that the world's challenges can be addressed and alleviated. Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid 1 day. The Director is expected to work in-person 4 days per week, with the option of working remotely 1 day per week, as agreed upon with the Chief of Staff. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position's mode of work designation. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $54,616.00 - $100,493.33 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
