The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Performs complete psycho diagnostic evaluations with patients and identifies patient and family psychosocial needs, Conducts standard test batteries to assess for Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Cognitive Emotional functioning, Provides effective individual, family, group psychotherapy as indicated, Identifies realistic goals for intervention and delivers ongoing behavioral interventions based on the developmental needs of the patient e, g, , goals related to behavior management, treatment adherence, pain management, improving coping with various psychological and medical conditions, Attends interdisciplinary case conferences for patients and general clinical issues, Provides effective team consultation as needed, Supports clinical staff e, g, , consult with medical staff, occupational, physical, and speech therapists, Participates in program development with opportunities for research, Provides in services and educational trainings to staff and community agencies as requested by Supervisor, Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively and according to Department policy, Provides supervision to staff, fellows, interns, externs as indicated, Displays competency in obtaining and interpreting the patient and family behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, bio psychosocial and aging processes, Meets minimum annual expected volumes, Requires a PhD, PsyD or EdD and a least 1 year job related experience, Experience in cognitive behavioral modification, Experience working with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum, Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting, Ability to relate therapeutically with the professional team ,children, adolescents and their parents or significant others, Flexibility, both in work hours and in performance of duties, New Jersey Psychologist license, Valid drivers license, American Heart Association AHA BLS Provider Certification required, At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
