Work Shift:

Work Shift Time:

7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Objective: Responsible for the execution of all export shipments and all trade compliance activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare all required paperwork on time for all exports.

  • Maintain all export records and ensure compliance with US Customs Regulations, and ensure compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the economic and trade embargo sanctions Regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Perform periodic audits of all trade compliance activities, including those involving US Customs, EAR, ITAR and OFAC requirements.

  • Review all assigned international Freight Bills for accuracy and take action, as required.

  • Work with Production, Planning and Shipping daily to maintain Customers order status updated and report as needed.

  • Use Export software to prepare commercial Invoices and other documents necessary for international shipment (both Consumer and other SBUs)

  • Work with freight forwarders to arrange pickup of cargo and the proper processing and maintenance of freight forwarder records. Work with account CRS and account managers for contacts and new ship via requirements

  • Work with QC for COC and COA requirements to ensure proper documents are included with shipments.

  • Prepare EEI thru ACE portal to file for ITN #, gather data from freight forwarder to file proper documentation.

  • Maintain and communicate accurate and detailed exports records and files in accordance with US Customs, EAR, ITAR and OFAC requirements.

  • Proactively review Past Due and Backlog Detail report for international orders.

  • Work with sales support and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of orders.

  • Obtain Freight rate quotes as requested by sales support on Premium Freight (PF) LOG, update as necessary, get approvals for any expedites and air shipments that are prepaid.

  • Attend training as required, Complying with US Export Controls, US Dept. of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security,

  • Re-schedule, revise customer orders as needed.

  • Process shipments thru FedEx, UPS, or DHL portals for small shipments

  • Check status and availability of products for orders from various locations and coordinate with Shipping Depts. as necessary, ordering shipping containers as needed. Consolidate shipments for our sister companies.

  • Track Shipments thru various freight companies, provide details for freight claims for damaged or lost shipments,

  • Maintain current fiscal years files and transfer previous years to storage, maintaining 5 years of rolling history,

  • Process samples shipment as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional work experience.

  • Five or more years of international shipping and generating export documentation desired. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Oracle experience/proficiency.

  • Good verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Excellent organizational skill, experience with Oracle Order Management processing software.

  • Ability to self-pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.
