Design Producer (Tools) - 7+ yrs experience

Product Design Team

This is a 3-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA, with the potential for extension.


Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Design Producer to support multiple product design teams focused on internal tools, software interfaces, and web-based user experiences.
This role will provide key project leadership across a variety of creative deliverables, ensuring smooth transitions from ideation to execution and timely delivery of assets. You'll act as the production and workflow backbone for the design team, tracking progress, resolving blockers, and streamlining operations in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Our Ideal Candidate


  • 5-7+ years of experience working with creative or design teams, preferably within an agency or in-house product/design environment



  • Deep understanding of UX/UI workflows, product design processes, and asset production across digital, print, and video formats



  • Skilled in project management, timeline creation, prioritization, and workflow optimization



  • Familiar with stakeholder engagement, creative team support, and leading team alignment



  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities



  • Highly adaptable and capable of navigating complex, evolving priorities



  • Familiarity with Apple tools such as Mail, Numbers, Keynote, Pages, and Calendar



  • Knowledge of asset production cycles across MacOS, iOS, web, and native applications



  • Cultural curiosity and the ability to communicate cross-functionally with clarity and empathy



  • Inventive and enthusiastic approach to process improvement and team collaboration




Job Description
In this role, you will steward design project schedules, manage production workflows, and guide the transition from creative to production across internal product and tools initiatives.
You'll work closely with cross-functional partners and design leadership to deliver high-quality assets while maintaining workflow efficiency. Responsibilities include:



  • Leading the setup of project files, schedules, briefs, references, and legal requirements



  • Managing production databases, tracking tools, and deliverables lists



  • Creating and maintaining roadmaps and timelines for high-volume, varied deliverables



  • Running meetings and reviews, capturing decisions, action items, and issues



  • Coordinating handoffs of comps and specs to engineering and ensuring design integrity



  • Leading design reviews and brainstorming workshops



  • Routing files for internal reviews, managing localization asset delivery, and maintaining internal archives



  • Communicating project health updates and proactively addressing workflow gaps



  • Supporting team planning in collaboration with Design Managers



  • Routinely evaluating and improving workflow processes and tools




Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in design, project management, marketing, or related field-or equivalent experience



  • Background in UX, creative production, or digital project management preferred



  • Experience managing global assets and localization workflows is a plus

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $90.00 - $93.00 per hour.

This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
