Job Description

Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the Warehouse Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficient workflow, high performance, and alignment with company goals. The Warehouse Manager must present strong leadership, organizational skills, and an aptitude for logistics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee warehouse operations to support production schedules and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Manage inventory systems to track components, reduce waste, and maintain optimal stock levels for manufacturing needs.
  • Coordinate with production teams to align material flow and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Lead warehouse staff, ensuring safety protocols, equipment handling, and productivity standards are met.
  • Implement operational policies to optimize space, workflow, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure consistent coverage of site access gate.
  • Analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Administer performance management to staff, to include coaching and training, goal setting, development, performance evaluation, planning assignments, establishing, and approving people management decisions (e.g., recruitment, promotions, terminations, and salary changes).
  • Assist in interviewing and training employees.
  • Appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to get employees engaged in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
  • Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their manager or any member of management.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing practices, regulatory agency requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively and individually.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to change messaging to match various backgrounds, experience, and/or education levels.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated highly effective presentation skills and training delivery skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety documents, blueprints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database systems, Microsoft Office.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Ability to obtain Manchester Tank Forklift and Telehandler Operator certifications.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. There is a high noise level throughout the plant and hearing protection must always be worn while in the plant during production. Wearing other proper protective equipment including metatarsal safety shoes and eye protection is always required while in the plant during production.This position will require frequent exposure to outdoor elements, such as rain, snow, and extreme heat or cold weather.
