What The Role Is

The Post Closing Specialist I is responsible for managing the final stages of a loan process after closing, including a thorough review of conventional loan closing documents for accuracy ensuring compliance with closing conditions and guidelines. The Post Closing Specialist I is also responsible for resolving any post-closing issues, often with a focus on complex or high-volume loan files, working closely with the loan origination team and closing agents to obtain missing documents or missing signatures.

How You will Make an Impact

• Comprehensive document review. Carefully examine all conventional closed loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including signatures, dates, and property detail.
• Identify and address any discrepancies or errors in loan files, coordinating with the loan origination team and title company/attorney to correct issues.
• Stay updated on all lending-related regulations and ensure all post-closing activities adhere to relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.
• Maintain clear communication with upper management, loan origination team, and title companies regarding post-closing updates, missing documents, and corrections needed.

Who You Are

• Prefer a minimum of 2 years prior experience as a post-closing specialist or loan closer with a demonstrated track record of accuracy and efficiency
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills to review and interpret complex loan documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various parties both inside and outside the bank.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Works cooperatively with others.
