We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Advanced Research Computing Facilitator to join our growing team. This role will serve as a technical liaison with a scientific background to support a wide range of research needs across disciplines.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key Responsibilities

Research Support and Facilitation



  • Assist researchers in utilizing HPC, AI, and data-intensive resources
  • Consult on software development, workflow optimization, and performance tuning
  • Provide onboarding and technical support for research computing platforms
  • Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students across disciplines


Training and Outreach



  • Design and deliver training sessions and workshops on scientific computing, AI, and data science
  • Create user documentation and educational materials
  • Promote advanced cyberinfrastructure through training initiatives


Software and Infrastructure Management



  • Manage scientific software stacks on HPC clusters and containerized environments
  • Collaborate with system administrators to support user needs
  • Maintain internal and external technical documentation


Strategic Engagement



  • Contribute to grant proposals and cyberinfrastructure planning
  • Participate in campus-wide initiatives to expand research computing
  • Engage in professional development through conferences and workshops

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience
  • Experience with HPC systems, Linux, and job schedulers (e.g., Slurm)
  • Proficiency in research programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++)
  • Familiarity with containers (Docker, Singularity), workflow systems (Snakemake, Nextflow), or cloud platforms
  • Experience supporting scientific software and workflows
  • Background in training or curriculum development
  • Understanding of open science, reproducible research, and data management
  • Experience in grant writing or proposal development
