Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a motivated and hands-on Hydraulics Technician to join our engineering team in Plymouth, Minnesota.This role supports testing and development of hydraulic components and systems used in off-highway and industrial equipment. You'll work closely with engineers and technicians to conduct R&D tests of prototype and existing hydraulic components. Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic test stands and fixtures. If you have a strong mechanical background, an interest in fluid power, and enjoy hands-on problem solving, we want to hear from you

The salary range for this position will be $58,000 to $63,000 annually, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and conduct hydraulic product validation tests per internal procedures and industry standards, including:

    • Performance and efficiency testing
    • Endurance and life-cycle testing
    • Pressure cycle and burst testing


  • Maintain accurate documentation of test setups, system configurations, and procedures.
  • Assist with assembly, modification, and maintenance of hydraulic test stands and fixtures.
  • Perform regular lab maintenance and participate in 5S and safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Follow lab safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree (AAS) in Fluid Power, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Strong hands-on skills and comfort working with tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with hydraulic test equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with pressure gauges, flow meters, and data acquisition tools.
  • Previous lab, shop, or field service experience in a technical setting.
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
