The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the assignment of work to ensure that Company and customer generated work orders, including emergency orders involving reports of gas leaks, odors of gas, damaged gas lines, fires, explosions, etc. are dispatched to appropriate field employees in a timely and accurate manner to meet company, as well as state utility commission and federal requirements. Who You Are:
The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outline below. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2 or O1-O3 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below. Working Conditions: This role is coverage for our business 24/7 for emergency calls and customer needs. There will also be overtime required at times. Flexibility will be required to work during days, nights, weekends, holidays and an on-call schedule. Employees in Emergency dispatch will have the opportunity to work in the office 3 days a week, and at home 2 days a week on a hybrid schedule. #LI-Hybrid Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to work in tight spaces. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
