Qualifications
Required Qualifications: B.A. in Chicano or Latino Studies or related field Preferred Qualifications: Master's level or higher. College/University level teaching experiences are Candidates will be evaluated according to (a) overall quality of their academic preparation Teaching Specialists' Hiring Criteria: Chicano Latino Studies is flexible with its degree requirements. Pay Range: CLS Teaching Specialists are paid on a per credit basis as follows: Undergraduate credit courses: $2,333-$3,000 per credit, Undergraduate credit courses: $7,000-$9,000 per course; depending on education/qualifications/experience. CLS Lecturers are paid on a per credit basis as follows: Undergraduate credit courses: $2,667-$3,334 per credit, Undergraduate credit courses: $8,000-$10,000 per course; depending on education/qualifications/experience. Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications. Learn more about retirement plans. While our salary ranges provide a framework, it is important to note that most of the time, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range. This approach ensures that compensation reflects the value and unique contributions of each candidate while maintaining equity within our organization.
