Overview

NaphCare is seeking a Material Handler to work within our Pharmacy Department located at our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL. The Material Handler is in charge of shipping, receiving, and inventory movement within the facility.

This position will be for weekend shifts with hours of 2 pm - 11 pm.



Responsibilities

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, storing and tracking of materials and products within our corporate pharmacy. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:

    Receive materials and store in correct location
  • Appropriately package outgoing shipments for delivery
  • Assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products
  • Work with team members to meet set goals
  • Load and unload pallets and individual cases from trucks, as well as collecting empty pallet boards
  • Assist in weekly product inventory
  • Managing inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory
  • Performing stock checks to rotate product and remove out of date drugs on a monthly basis


Qualifications

Experience / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift more than 75 pounds consistently without assistance
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
  • Reliable attendance
  • Professional organizational and communication skills
  • Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Must pass drug screening

Physical Capabilities:

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
