For more information about the company and product line visit: www.sigsauer.com Position Summary: The HR Specialist, HR Support is responsible for providing support in a variety of HR functions. They will maintain a positive and productive work environment, demonstrating strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills. This individual will collaborate with internal HR team members, and all employees within the organization, in addition to external vendors. This role typically requires 3-5 years of previous experience in a Human Resources role, with exposure to various HR functions such as benefits administration, onboarding, and employee relations. The HR Specialist, HR Support will collaborate closely with the broader HR department, internal employees, and the SIG leadership team within the specialized HR function they support. FLSA: Non-exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Assist with planning and executing special events within the HR team.
- Serve as the front-line resource for answering employee's general questions including but not limited to, interpretation of human resources policies and procedures, HR system navigation questions, payroll, leave of absence, and benefits.
- Direct employees to the appropriate HRBP to address complex questions and/or follow-up to ensure employees' concerns have been addressed.
- Aid employees through the voluntary resignation, and retirement processes. Educate exiting employees regarding their benefits, equity, and final pay implications related to resignation.
- Assist with implementing HR programs that support the company culture and overall employee well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
- Process HR invoices, ensuring accuracy, timely approval, and proper documentation for recordkeeping purposes.
- Facilitate HR system transactions including but not limited to terminations, pay changes, promotions, and employee data changes.
- Manage the Leave of Absence program for local employees as well as assist in the company program.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, especially in maintaining discretion in confidential situations.
- Assist with the creation, development, implementation, and maintenance of new or existing HR policies, and companywide policies.
- Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
- Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
- Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred, or related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of previous experience in a Human Resources role, with exposure to various HR functions such as benefits administration and employee relations.
- Ability to provide support and guidance to employees in a professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software. Proficient with or have the ability to quickly learn human resources information systems (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
- Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
- Team-player; always open to offer innovative and constructive ideas to continue our team's success, processes and efficiency.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, providing responses to all employee requests within the same day.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
