Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: This position is full-time on-site in Dover, NH. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Quality Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform and record in-process quality inspections per QPM0120, Process Checks on jobs running in manufacturing.
• Learn the requirements of the Welch Quality Management System and participate in external audits (ISO, customer, etc.) as requested by Quality Team Leader.
• Perform internal audits as assigned per the annual internal audit schedule.
• Participate in team corrective action and problem-solving sessions as necessary to support customer quality requirements.
• Make updates to Welch procedures, WIs, etc. as assigned.
• Provide training support/instruction for team members as requested by Quality Team Leader.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Team Leader.
• Will be given Manufacturing tasks to complete from time to time.
• Perform product testing per customer requirements when necessary.
• Suggest and make improvements on any quality related system.
• Provide training support/instruction for team members as requested by Quality Team Leader.
• Statistical Process Control:
  • Run and compile reports from the ERP System.
  • Coordinate meetings with a cross functional team to analyze the data.
  • Make update to product documents as applicable.
• Perform Quality Inspector essential tasks as back up as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Team Leader.
• Other duties not expressly listed above or that may be required in the future.

• Minimum of a High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of production and/or quality inspection experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows computer user interface, popular business applications (ERP Software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Browsers, Email, etc.).
• Able to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner in order to meet deadlines.
• Experience drafting reports and collating data.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with team members and customers.
• Ability to perform dimensional inspection using all current measuring instruments at Welch Fluorocarbon.
