Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position plays a critical role in the success of the First Citizens Wealth - Tailored Lending team, evaluating the performance of the existing book of business. Works independently to conduct ongoing loan performance analysis, continued risk and creditworthiness reviews and covenant testing. Collaborates with underwriters, sales associates and senior credit personnel on credit risk rating determination.


Responsibilities

Risk Management - Uses varying standards and practices to maintain credit reporting and conduct analysis for the Private Bank credit portfolio. Responsible for ongoing risk assessment for assigned portfolio and recommending any necessary risk rating changes to senior Credit partners. Ensures timely, accurate, and ad hoc reports for portfolio review, covenant compliance, past due and maturing loans. Understand the necessity and value of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Underwriting - Has a general knowledge of the loan underwriting process and applicable regulations. Follows FCB credit standards, procedures, and guidelines. Assesses personal and business financial statements to determine risk and creditworthiness. Identifies exceptions to credit standards and recommends risk ratings to senior Credit partners.

Ownership - Take personal ownership of assignments and activities, pro-actively communicating decisions and results to internal partners. Deliver quality work and solutions within accepted service level agreement / deadlines.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in consumer or commercial underwriting.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience. If hired in California, the range is generally $62,100.00 to $95,220.00 per year. If hired in Massachusetts, the range is generally $59,550.00 to $91,310.00 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
