Summary Job Description: Job Summary Performs basic and complex EEGs on patients with possible brain dysfunction; performs portable EEG's; performs EEG intra-operatively; transports patients when needed; has working knowledge of computer for ordering and charging; receives patients into department; maintains all equipment in proper working order; formats disks, and archives EEG data for record management by policy; performs clerical functions as needed; maintains adequate inventory of supplies/linen; participates in orientation of new employees; participates in continuing education and participates in the on-call schedule. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: At least one year experience in the medical field. One year as an EEG tech preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must maintain certification in Basic Life Support.
