Hourly Pay Range:

$42.54 - $65.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

A Brief Overview:
The Center for Basic MR Research at Endeavor Health is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist (which corresponds to the level of Assistant or Associated Professor depending on qualification) with expertise in magnetic resonance physics and systems engineering to support and lead efforts across multiple modalities including MR imaging, electrophysiology, and neural stimulation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and expanding the technical capabilities of the Center, while also contributing to grant development and funded research.

What you will do:

  • Operate, maintain, and upgrade research-dedicated MRI systems (Bruker and/or clinical MR platforms).
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot custom hardware and electronics for MRI, electrophysiology, and stimulation systems.
  • Support research teams with protocol development and technical implementation of MR imaging and multimodal experiments. Collaborate with investigators on grant applications; contribute to technical sections and serve as co-investigator or PI as appropriate.
  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance with safety standards, and documentation of all hardware/software systems.
  • Train and support users in the application of MR and integrated recording technologies.

What you will need:

  • Education: PhD or MD
  • Experience: Experience with MR systems (preferably Bruker) and MRI pulse programming or RF systems.
  • Skills: Strong electronics and instrumentation skills, including analog and digital circuit design and debugging. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment. Demonstrated experience in supporting NIH-funded research is highly desirable.
