Purpose:

Act as Owner's Representative for capital projects execution onsite in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Interface with key site and company personnel to make maximum use of available resources. Such functions will include, but not limited to, site engineering resources, purchasing, operations, systems, and business engineering, as well as equipment vendors, contracting firms. The initial project duration is anticipated to be 24-36 months (Q2/2025-12/2027) with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will impact the success of our projects by:

  • Lead project teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources and monitor project progress.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

    • Proven experience in engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or related roles.

    • Experience in the energy or sustainability industry with an understanding of civil, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.

    • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.

    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Additional Information:

  • Title: Project Engineer
  • Location: Colonial Heights, Virginia plant (local candidates from Richmond, VA preferred).
  • Onsite Required.
  • Project: Large Expansion project (Q2 2025- Q4 2027) in Colonial Heights.
  • Duration: Anticipated 24-36 months (Q2/2025-12/2027) with possibility of extension.
