Synchrony is a rapidly growing health care organization that provides pharmacy and rehabilitation services to long-term/post-acute care providers throughout the country. We are seeking an energetic business development professional to lead our growth in a designated market area. As the Director of Business Development/Sales, you will be responsible for leading the organic growth of our service lines by developing and cultivating relationships with owners and operators of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout your assigned region.

Primary Duties

* Leads business development initiatives that are consistent with the Company's overall growth strategy.
* Develops sales and marketing plan to achieve growth goals for pharmacy and rehabilitation services, in conjunction with Company's overall growth objectives, within assigned territory.
* Generates new business leads via prospecting, networking, referrals, and follows-up with all viable opportunities in a timely manner.
* Keeps abreast of industry and market changes to continually assess and evaluate growth opportunities and the need for product enhancement and/or development.
* Attends industry conferences, trade shows and networking events to develop relationships.
* Works closely with operations, clinical and account management teams to help manage customer relationships.
* Maintains and strengthens relationships with existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction with services.
* Assists with customer retention and contract renewals, if needed.
* Understands key aspects of Company's business lines to develop customer-focused solutions designed to address customer-specific needs.
* Gathers accurate data from potential clients that can be reviewed with operations, clinical, and finance teams for development of tailored solutions.
* Travel, as necessary, including overnight stays.
* Completes routine sales activity reports, updates prospect pipeline status, and communicates effectively to operations, clinical, finance, and management teams.
* Conserves resources and uses prudent judgment related to expenses incurred on behalf of the Company.
* Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
* Leads by Example (LBE), upholds and promotes the Culture, Mission, and Values of the Company.
* Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
* Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
* Complies with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
* Ability to meet new business development quotas as assigned to achieve sales goals for assigned territory.
* Meets expectations of excellence for position.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the company.


POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Four (4) year degree from and accredited university/college or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in the long-term/post-acute care, senior housing industry with an emphasis on Sales and/or Business Development, or five (5) years sales experience in the health care arena.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and Salesforce.
