As an on-site Sales Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to the sales team for both pulp & paper applications. Your primary focus will be providing customer value through current applications and service. You will be required to support growth and verification of current programs, and ensure that best practices are followed on Solenis applications. You may be required to provide training to support trials with new equipment or chemicals.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

• Provide technical support for pulp and paper mill operations, ensuring the effective, economical, and safe utilization of chemicals and equipment. This entails collaborating closely with sales management to monitor and execute chemical programs.
• Conducting necessary testing at the account to verify the safety and efficacy of treatment programs is essential. In the event of issues, proactive engagement is key, promptly addressing concerns and collaborating with the sales management and customer teams to devise corrective strategies. Data analysis plays a crucial role in evaluating program performance, aiding in decision-making processes for ongoing improvements.
• Testing is to include but not limited to: Brown Stock Washer Efficiencies, Microbiological Testing (VFA, ATP, Petrifilm), Paper Machine Retentions (FPR, FPAR, Charge), Standard Hach tests (Turbidity, Chlorine Residual, Hardness, Alkalinity, Chelant), Chemistry Testing (Conductivity, pH), Paper Machines Stickies Testing, Entrained Gas, Surface Tension, Cobb, % Solids, Stock Consistency.
• Communicate and merchandise Solenis service, process improvements, trial reports and related information

Education:

• Science/Technical Degree; or equivalent relevant industry experience.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pulp & paper mill experience
• Strong relationship building skills
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex issues and managing multiple projects independently.
• Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Documented results making process improvements, solving complex and non-routine technical problems
• Ability to work with autonomy
• Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
