As the Site Quality Leader, you will develop, implement, and maintain a site-wide Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that products and processes meet internal standards and customer expectations. You will lead quality assurance projects, manages audits, and lead continuous improvement projects across all departments at the Springdale, PA facility. You will report to the Plant Manager and will work on-site with occasional travel to suppliers or customer sites. In this role, you have the opportunity to develop into a Cluster Leader over multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other applicable standards.
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
- Analyze quality performance metrics; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis of test results to monitor process stability and capability.
- Ensure that quality control procedures are implemented and followed at every stage of the production process.
- Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance of calibration records to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Use analytical, problem-solving, communication and influence to collaborate with a variety of teams, including customer partners, to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Engage directly with customers to address quality issues.
- Develop the quality team, including inspectors, analysts, and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee supplier quality management and conduct supplier audits.
- Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
- Present quality reports and improvement plans to the Site Manager and leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years' progressively responsible experience in quality management within the chemical manufacturing or chemical coatings industries
- 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF16949, Six Sigma, Lean).
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and A3.
- Experience with quality management software, Oracle or SAP
- Certification such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green Belt required
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
