At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. A day in the lift of an Environmental Compliance and Quality Assurance professional includes, but is not limited to:
* Complete the Quality Assurance Engineer Qualification Card.
* Establish and maintain lead assessor/auditor qualification, as applicable.
* Maintain familiarization with government/industry consensus quality assurance codes and standards.
* Plan and perform environmental quality assurance compliance audits.
* Monitor and evaluate applicable environmental requirement sources for potential changes in applicability.
* Implement a collaborative framework that actively engages stakeholders throughout the entire assessment process.
* Ensure Lines of Inquiry (LOIs) are clearly defined, based on requirements, and align with current regulatory and procedural requirements.
* Conduct a thorough analysis to identify specific needs and potential benefits of each assessment.
* Develop and maintain tracking & trending metrics based on environmental issues identified during performance of assessments.
* Mentor CPCCo staff on assessment processes, including audit planning, performance, report preparation, and issues management.
* Perform quality assurance reviews and approvals of environmental documents such as data quality objectives, sampling and analysis plans, and remedial action work plans.
* Identify and document conditions adverse to quality and ensure effective completion of corrective actions previously identified during assessments.
* Maintain CPCCo Environmental Quality Assurance Program Plan and EC&QA procedures.
* Collaborate with other organizations to understand their needs and assist in the development and implementation of identified solutions.
* Complete assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
* Provide support to the environmental requirements management system and operating record retention improvement projects, as needed.
* Represent EC&QA at Hanford Analytical Services Quality Assurance Document working group meetings.
* Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and perform assigned duties in a safe and ethical manner.


Basic Qualifications


Career Level Grade 19: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 8 or more years of relevant experience

Senior Level Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 10 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* NQA-1 / ISO Lead Auditor Certification
* Experience developing and reviewing sampling and analysis documents
* Experience facilitating the Data Quality Objective process
* Excellent written, communication, and collaboration skills
* A broad knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and requirements


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

Career Level Grade 19: $101,950 - $163,050
Senior Level Grade 20: $112,250 - $179,500

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
