The MGH Center for Global Health is recruiting a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator II for work in cutting edge global health equity and infectious diseases research. The candidate will work directly on a broad portfolio of projects focusing on global migration, refugee health, emerging and tropical infectious diseases, HIV, and viral hepatitis.
The ideal candidate would be highly self-directed and motivated to work on topics related to refugee health, health and human rights, and global health, with aspirations for a career path in one of these fields. For motivated candidates, the position comes with an opportunity to design, present, and be lead authors on impactful original research. This position would be 20 hours per week for at least one year. Principal Duties and responsibilities include:
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
EDUCATION: Minimum Qualifications: Master's in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field; or Bachelor's with significant research and analytic experience. Master's or PhD in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field is highly desired. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-2 years of directly related work experience, including experience in peer-reviewed published research, global health research, applied epidemiology, and large databases (e.g., NHANES). Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/ or Haitian Creole is an advantage, though not necessary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (if applicable): A Clinical Research Coordinator II may assist with the training and orientation of new staff members.
