We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to drive learning and organizational development initiatives across HCSC/Miller-Keystone. This role will focus on enhancing leadership capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and aligning learning strategies with corporate goals.

The Learning and Development Specialist supports MKBC and HCSC as the subject matter expert in general learning and development from discovery through content delivery and implementation. The anticipated annual salary starts at $62,750 and is commensurate with experience. In addition, HCSC offers the following to all full-time employees:

What you will be doing:



  • Design and implement training and development programs that support leadership growth, compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Position the organization as a learning-focused workplace with strong employee engagement.
  • Lead the development of innovative, strategy-aligned learning initiatives and best practices.
  • Enhance and manage the functionality and usage of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Advise senior leadership on organizational development and change management strategies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and lead execution of improvement and change initiatives.
  • Partner with HR, leadership, and other stakeholders to identify talent gaps, succession plans, and training and leadership development opportunities.
  • Support company-wide safety and compliance goals through ongoing training and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate training records across the organization via LMS.
  • Leading training, interventions, coaching, and/or consultations virtually and in-person


What you will bring to the role:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or related field and 3-5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or consulting are both required
  • Relevant professional certification required (e.g., CPTD, CPTM, SHRM, AIHR, CLS, or CID)
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end learning initiatives and delivering training in-person and virtually
  • At least 4 years of expertise in areas such as healthcare, blood banking, commercial services, leadership development, or operations is preferred
  • Strong track record of partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to implement effective training and organizational change solutions
  • Experience supporting acquisition, change management, and strategic development initiatives
  • Knowledge of various assessment instruments to develop and coach stakeholder in focus groups, surveys, pre- and post-skill gap assessments.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) to engage with community partners, vendors, and employees of all backgrounds.
  • A passion to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities to meet the needs of Miller-Keystone and HCSC.



Additional information:

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be based out of our corporate location in Allentown PA. They will be responsible for working the following schedule:

The normal hours for this position are 8:30am-5pm at our corporate headquarters in Allentown, PA however, some travel may be necessary.

Travel for this position is expected to be up to 50%. A clear and current driving license is required.
