Job Title: Buyer III Location: Houston, TX 77079 (Hybrid - Onsite Mon, Tues, Thurs) Contract Duration: 12 Months Work Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM \| 40 hours/week \| Monday to Friday Position Overview: The Buyer III will support procurement activities within the client's Corporate Supply Chain group. The role will focus on leading RFx processes, issuing purchase/service orders, and collaborating with internal teams to meet project needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement experience, knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities: Lead RFx processes (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and evaluate bids for goods and services Issue and manage purchase and service orders with accuracy and contract compliance Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and align procurement strategy with project needs Resolve complex procurement challenges and propose cost-effective solutions Support vendor management and performance evaluation Document all procurement activities in accordance with audit and compliance standards Monitor market conditions and recommend sourcing strategies Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing Minimum Requirements: 4+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle procurement systems Experience issuing POs and handling RFx processes Ability to manage multiple requests in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field Professional certification (SCMP, CSCP, or equivalent) Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and category management Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
