Pay Range: $39,500 to $43,000

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for performing various warehouse activities focused on inventory management including receipt of goods transactions, inventory transfers into and around the warehouse physically and in Luxor's systems, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation research. The inventory control lead will also work closely with other departments to manage the process of putting items on Quality Hold, transitioning inventory between versions, and the general management of a First In First Out (FIFO) process with inventory. This position will require stacking and moving products both physically and on a forklift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes regularly and thoroughly to ensure inventory accuracy; maintain strict documentation records.
  • Execute inventory rotation procedures based on a FIFO model to keep pick locations in stock.
  • Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored physically and systematically. Execute Receipt of Goods transactions and Inventory Transfers to properly manage inventory into the system and around the warehouse.
  • Manage inventory locations efficiently to maximize storage while maintaining product quality. Provide recommendations on how product should be palletized and stored.
  • Research and inspect product for quality issues as required in collaboration with Quality, Customer Service, and Sourcing teams
  • Works to improve best practices and procedures involving receiving, safety, packing, special labeling, productivity follow up, and employee training
  • Serve as a backup to other positions as needed to maximize productivity within the warehouse team.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Overtime required when necessary to meet warehouse operational goals.
Skills and Abilities Required

* Problem solving skills to work through challenges and issues found during cycle counts or when other inventory problems are identified.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to operate with minimal guidance and achieve results based on department priorities.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
* Comfortable with math and able to conduct systematic reconciliations related to inventory.
* Operate warehouse machinery including fork-trucks, pallet jacks and wrapping machines.
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs and standing or moving a majority of the day.

Education and Experience Required:

* Work History Requirements: A minimum of 1 year warehouse experience required, and a minimum of 3 years warehouse experience preferred
* Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required
* Fundamentals of Continuous Improvement/Lean experience preferred
* Experience working with ERP and WMS systems

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

* Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications required:

* None

Training Requirements:

* Forklift certification

Physical Demands:

* Lifting up to 50 lbs
* Able to stand and be upright for long periods of times throughout a day
