PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $104,000.00-$126,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $80,800.00 - $150,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Systems Analyst on our Core Banking DNA Delivery team, you'll be at the heart of a platform that supports millions of everyday member transactions. You'll collaborate with passionate people across business and tech teams to analyze needs, shape solutions, and lead delivery efforts that improve the banking experience for our members.

You won't just gather requirements-you'll dig deep to understand the "why" behind the work. You'll help bridge the gap between technical functionality and real-world impact, ensuring every upgrade and enhancement drives meaningful outcomes. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Translate Vision into Action: Partner with Product Owners and delivery leaders to turn business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, and outcome-driven roadmaps.
  • Lead Agile Delivery: Manage the team's backlog, support sprint planning and execution, and lead refinement sessions with a focus on quality and value.
  • Design & Analyze: Translate requirements into functional specs, use cases, models, and clear documentation. Create and maintain technical documentation aligned to business goals.
  • Support Core Systems: Configure, maintain, and support the Fiserv DNA platform-BECU's mission-critical core banking system. Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with internal teams (DBE, PMO) and frontline departments (tellers, operations, contact center) to identify process impacts and design thoughtful solutions.
  • Optimize & Improve: Proactively seek ways to optimize system performance and member experience by configuring systems and supporting enhancements and upgrades.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Coordinate with external partners on technical requirements, delivery timelines, and vendor-provided upgrades.
  • Ensure Compliance & Security: Apply cybersecurity best practices, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards in everything you deliver.
  • Drive Quality: Support testing, troubleshooting, and refinement to ensure stable, scalable system functionality.
  • Mentor & Share Knowledge: Guide junior team members in configuration, toolsets, and application lifecycle best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/related field or equivalent work/education experience.
  • 5+ years working with business software applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database query tools.
  • Experience supporting full system development lifecycle (user stories, testing, CI/CD, break/fix).
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing and agile, lean, TDD, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with application lifecycle support across multiple platforms/languages.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar agile tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Background with Fiserv DNA or core banking systems.
  • Experience working directly with member-facing teams or financial institutions.
  • Ability to build strong business cases using financial, strategic, and risk analyses.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, system administration, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Understanding of compliance, privacy, and security within technology delivery.
  • Experience mentoring or onboarding junior analysts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
