Health Center Associate Supervisor - Minneapolis, MN

Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.60 - $28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. We are committed to ensuring fair and competitive pay for all employees.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift times: Shifts scheduled around clinic hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am - 5pm. Work approximately one weekend every three weeks.
Location: 1200 Lagoon Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55408
Job type: Exempt
Travel: Travel required around Twin Cities, MN metro area during role training.

Job Summary:

In partnership with the Health Center Leadership Team and under the immediate supervision of the Health Center Manager and Health Center Assistant Manager, the HCA Supervisor performs a wide variety of functions to support and enhance a team based, customer focused, results oriented service model that achieves clinical, operational, and financial goals. HCA Supervisors are advocates in implementing our mission of "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all." They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Post-secondary education in business, human services, public health, nursing related area, or 2 years equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours that match the clinic hours, which may include evenings and weekends.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:



  • Lead, coach, mentor, and instruct Health Center Associate staff as their direct supervisor. Support and maintain front desk operations, including medical record system data entry, patient registration, insurance verification, cash handling, day sheet reconciliation, and preparation of bank deposits.
  • Provide positive customer service presence and promote a positive teamwork approach among Health Center staff
  • Adhere to employee and customer standards, HIPAA, security, and compliance policies.
  • Provide on the job training for Health Center Associate staff following their formal PPNCS orientation.
  • Ensure Health Center Associate staff achieve proficiency in performing assigned tasks including completing the proficiency checklist.
  • Assist preparing and documenting staff meetings, trainings and operations tracking data.
  • Evaluate and assist in recommendations for improvement of overall Health Center systems and services to improve quality and efficiency, compliance requirements and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor, maintain, and order office supplies, and other supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Health Center Manager and Assistant Manager with completing/achieving Health Center objectives and special projects, including required audits and implementation of new services.
  • Provide support to complete month-end inventory and follow-up with recount and corrections.
  • Support team through changes in the business. Serves as a role model to staff and peers in business ethics, integrity, customer service, and service recovery.
  • Assist Health Center Manager or Assistant Health Center Manager during hiring process in interviewing of candidates.
  • Participate in staff scheduling and payroll.
  • Assist staff and Health Center Manager with maintaining clinic flow, performing various staff functions as needed where licensure is not required (e.g., working at the front desk, rounding on patients, stocking, and cleaning rooms etc.)
  • Partner with staff and collaborate with other departments to assure health center is meeting organizational goals. Work to advance all of the medical services provided at our health centers including family planning, reproductive health services, abortion services, contraceptive services, vasectomies, mental health, and transgender care.



Immunization Requirements:



  • Hepatitis B vaccination records and titers
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
  • Chicken Pox vaccination records or proof of immunization
  • Tetanus shot documentation
  • Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
