Summary We are expanding our Quality team and looking for a Quality Specialist with strong technical skills and the desire to grow. This hands-on role begins in the lab to build a strong foundation, then transitions into supporting the production floor, internal auditing, and cross-functional problem solving. The Quality Specialist will help ensure our products and processes meet customer expectations and internal standards while contributing to data-driven improvements and process control strategies. This includes conducting testing and data analysis, participating in internal audits, supporting daily shop floor quality concerns, and driving corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with production and engineering teams. Pay Range: $59,000- $80,000 Annually Shift Schedule: This position follows a rotating schedule to ensure coverage across all three shifts. Typical shift examples include 3:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in accordance with procedures and safety standards
- Collect and submit samples, organize test results, and summarize findings for Quality and Technical managers.
- Track and enter inspection, scrap, rework, and supplier claim data
- Participate in root cause analysis and use quality tools like 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams
- Support daily shop floor inspections and respond to quality concerns
- Conduct internal and layered process audits per the audit schedule
- Maintain calibration system and assist with hands on device training.
- Identify gaps to customer or internal requirements and escalate appropriately
- Help implement quality improvements based on audit findings and process reviews
- Document results clearly and participate in team-based problem solving
- Support onboarding of new suppliers and eventually assist with customer-facing quality tasks
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic auditing, inspection, or QA experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced math and statistics
- Basic Computer skills (MS Office)
- Understanding of quality systems (ISO/IATF concepts)
- Steady and dependable, with strong follow-through
- Comfortable speaking up on the shop floor and asking questions
- Hands-on learner who wants to grow in the quality field
- Collaborative and able to build relationships with production and maintenance teams
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
Education/Training Preferred
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical, quality, or related field
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Auditor (CQA)
- Exposure to SPC, calibration programs, or customer quality systems
