Location: On-site \| Appleton, WI Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Patient Access Coordinator to join our administrative team. This role is essential in supporting clinical operations by ensuring a smooth and patient-friendly experience through accurate insurance verification, surgical deposit collection, and appointment scheduling-all conducted via phone and computer. Key Responsibilities: * Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to scheduled appointments * Collect pre-surgical deposits and clearly explain financial responsibilities to patients * Schedule appointments accurately, aligning patients with the appropriate provider and procedure * Communicate with patients via phone to complete pre-appointment requirements * Navigate ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) and other scheduling/billing platforms simultaneously * Maintain organized records of insurance verification, deposits, and scheduling changes * Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies or escalate patient issues * Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal financial policies Qualifications: * 1+ years of healthcare administrative experience, including scheduling and insurance verification * Proficiency with ModMed and ability to multitask across multiple systems * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Professional phone etiquette and clear written communication * Ability to handle sensitive financial and medical information with discretion * Comfortable working independently in a cubicle-style office environment Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
