Temporary Payroll Administrator

Position Type: Full-Time Contract/Temporary

Duration: Late August 2025 - February 2026 (approximately 6 months)

Location: Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a remote Payroll Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled payroll professional to work with a dynamic organization managing three staffing companies with a combined workforce of 150-200 employees.

Key Responsibilities




  • Process biweekly payroll for internal staff and temporary employees across three separate entities using isolved payroll software.



  • Calculate and process required and voluntary deductions including insurance premiums and retirement contributions.



  • Prepare biweekly retirement contribution reports and coordinate payment submissions.



  • Generate and submit payroll-related journal entries using QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics accounting software.



  • Support payroll tax account management in partnership with our payroll service provider, including account setup, maintenance, and issue resolution.



  • Assist with year-end audit requests and prepare payroll reports as required.



  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, resolving discrepancies promptly and accurately.




Required Qualifications




  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.



  • Proficiency with isolved payroll software (strongly preferred).



  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics accounting systems.



  • Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and reporting requirements across multiple states.



  • Experience processing high-volume payroll (100+ employees).



  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.



  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.



  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with multi-entity payroll processing.



  • Background in staffing industry or temporary employee payroll.



  • Retirement plan administration experience.



  • Payroll certification (CPP, FPC, or similar preferred)



  • Experience with year-end reporting and audit support.
