Office of Admissions

Job Description

This position performs a variety of independent, specialized business support duties for the Office of Admissions.

Essential Functions

  • Manage departmental purchasing, budgets and accounts
  • Oversee, review, and reconcile approximately 30 accounts
  • Process expense reports, requisitions, and vouchers
  • Prepare HR-related documents and oversee payroll for departmental staff and students
  • Serve as liaison for student recruitment and yield initiatives
  • Register, organize, and maintain travel and events
  • Supervise student workers
  • Provide training and instruction of duties, manage office facilities, inventory and postal mail and respond to internal and external requests
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendar for director
  • Remain informed on current university policies and procedures
  • Attend campus meetings and training sessions
  • Provide instruction and guidance to department staff
  • Review, edit, and send admit letters and scholarships to students
  • Compile and tabulate data, financial statistics, reports, and information as needed
  • Oversee records management and tickets
  • Serve as liaison for contracts
Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and proven ability to work autonomously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate, high comfort level with technology, and the ability to analyze and present data effectively
  • Experience in student recruitment, territory management, higher education, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional fields
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
  • Experience in accounting, budgets, finance, and inventory management systems
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $17.05-$18.68 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
