Join AIR as a Software Project Manager to support the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) project.The Software Project Manager (SPM) will use technology to help solve humanitarian issues across the globe, working with colleagues in North America, Africa, and Europe. The Software Project Manager will work alongside other ambitious, innovative thinkers at the forefront of developing new methods and technologies for humanitarian and international development decision making. As a key member of the team, this role will ensure the seamless provision of data capture, analytics, and visualization products and services. Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories. Responsibilities: The Software Project Manager will ensure high-quality, timely, on-budget delivery of software that meets client expectations. The SPM will liaise closely with the Data Science and Web Management Teams to ensure a seamless provision of data capture, analytics and visualization products and services in support of the FEWS NET mission. Qualifications: Under the direction of the Data Platform Manager, this mid-level support staff provides technical support and development of the Hub's software development functions for the FEWS NET Data Platform.
