Essential Job Duties |
Join our team supporting a university-based chicken research facility! We're looking for a hands-on Research Operations Manager to handle day-to-day upkeep, basic repairs, and small construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure
- Supervise 2-5 staff members (management experience a plus)
- Support animal husbandry operations (familiarity with chickens preferred)
- Work in dusty, hot environments as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Experience/Education |
High school diploma or equivalency. |

- Experience performing maintenance tasks in an agricultural or research facility
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic repairs and small-scale construction projects (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
- Experience supervising a team of employees, including assigning tasks and overseeing work quality (preferred)
- Familiarity with poultry care practices, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal welfare (preferred)
- Ability to work safely and effectively in hot, dusty, or otherwise challenging environmental conditions
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
