Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify critical scheduling challenges within DOD operations Support client's operational research requirements onsite in the National Capital Region area Design, implement, andtestscheduling solutions usingtechnologies like Python, with a focus on integrating Django frameworks where applicable Analyze data and operational workflows to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process and system improvements Conduct simulations and performance analyses to validate the effectiveness of scheduling solutions Conduct user performance analysis to validate the effectiveness of fielded systems and proposed upgrades Communicate complex mathematical concepts and technical findings to stakeholders, including military personnel and command staff Stay current with advancements in DoD and government related operations research methodologies and relevant technologies to ensure best practices are applied. Qualifications: Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Business, Accounting or a related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations research, with a focus on scheduling or optimization Previous experience working within the Department of Defense or with military operations and readiness reporting is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities DoD SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with DoD and Federal Operational Readiness Reporting Systems Knowledge of DoD Command reporting hierarchy Experience with supporting military and/or federal operations Salary: $120K+ to align with education and experience Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
