Join our team as a Development Coordinator!

At Gorman & Company, we don't just develop buildings - we transform communities. As a Development Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of that mission, supporting the planning, funding, and execution of affordable and mixed-income housing developments that make a lasting difference. If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is your chance to join a collaborative and impactful team.

What You'll Do

  • You'll work alongside developers and market leadership to bring projects from concept to completion - managing details, streamlining processes, and keeping everything moving.
  • Coordinate and submit funding applications, including LIHTC, HOME, AHP, and other public/private programs.
  • Track and manage project timelines, submissions, and data in development software.
  • Lead the assembly of due diligence packages for lenders, investors, and public agencies.
  • Assist in preparing responses to RFPs and RFQs for new development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep projects aligned and on track.
  • Support neighborhood engagement, municipal approvals, and zoning submittals.
  • Create and implement internal tools like development checklists and document libraries.
  • Provide administrative support to development leadership including scheduling, meeting notes, and invoice processing.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for consultants and stakeholders throughout the development process.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in affordable housing, real estate development, or a related field.
  • Degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Business, or related area preferred - or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC programs or state/federal housing finance processes is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
