In this hands-on role, you'll follow detailed methods and sequences to perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. You'll assemble precision electro-mechanical and electronic components using visual aids, samples, and process sheets, ensuring each build meets exacting standards. From bonding, sanding, polishing, and grit blasting to cleaning parts and assemblies per work instructions, your craftsmanship will be key to our success. You'll work independently with minimal supervision, troubleshoot complex production issues, and recommend solutions that keep us moving forward.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

Precision Assembly & Build Excellence

  • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and modules using visual aids, samples, prints, and process sheets

  • Operate specialized tooling and machinery to build high-reliability products for defense applications

  • Use solder, fasteners, and adhesives to construct robust electronic assemblies

Quality-Driven Craftsmanship

  • Verify builds against exacting standards and perform rework to meet specifications

  • Execute mechanical assembly using standard measuring tools and techniques

  • Bond, hone, sand, polish, and grit-blast parts to prep for final installation

  • Clean components and assemblies per detailed Work Instructions

Leadership & Problem Solving

  • Work independently with minimal supervision, making sound decisions to troubleshoot complex production issues

  • Recommend solutions and guide the team toward resolution

  • Mentor less experienced assemblers, sharing knowledge and building team capability


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent).
  • 2 years' experience working as an assembler building products.
  • 2 years' soldering experience (JStandard).
  • Able to interpret and understand instructions on process sheets, prints or route cards and technical drawings (i.e. ECO's, parts lists and PRN's).
  • Ability to use hand tools (pliers, forming tools, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Assembly experience in a defense contractor, aerospace, or the military environment with an emphasis on antenna products preferable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Soldering experience should be current; current JCERT preferable.
  • Ability to produce fixturing if necessary for prototype and pre-production applications.
  • 4-6 years experience working as an assembler.

Must achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques per Company and customer standards and perform basic hand soldering tasks.

Salary Range: Assembler II $18.52 - $25.95 per hour; Assembler III $20.41 - $29.62. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
