Summary:

The Vocation Ministry Coordinator supports the Congregation's vocation ministry by providing administrative, communications, and programmatic assistance. This role plays a vital part in promoting the Congregation's mission and charism, accompanying potential candidates, and coordinating with local and international vocation teams. The Coordinator reports administratively to the CAO and works operationally under the guidance of the General Leadership Team liaison for vocations.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vocation Director to develop and implement an annual plan aligned with the goals and strategic direction of the vocation ministry.
  • Assist the Vocation Director and vocation team in planning and coordinating activities, events, and strategies that support vocation promotion.
  • Organize, support, and occasionally lead vocation retreats and discernment events, working in coordination with the Vocation Director and team.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and coordinate vocation-related content for social media and other communication platforms.
  • Monitor and follow up with vocation inquiries submitted through the Congregation's website and other channels.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and campus ministry programs to promote the Congregation's vocation outreach.
  • Represent the Congregation at diocesan events, vocation fairs, and similar gatherings to promote the charism of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and maintain schedules related to vocation ministry events and outreach efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, events, and outcomes related to vocation promotion.
  • Serve as the liaison with the vocation teams in Mexico and Peru, facilitating communication, sharing resources, and ensuring integration of efforts across regions.
  • Collaborate with the General Leadership Team liaison to support the implementation of the Congregation's vision for vocation ministry.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills


  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Communications, or related field, preferred
  • Practicing Catholic with a genuine interest in promoting religious life and vocations

Experience


  • Previous experience in ministry, vocation work, youth or campus outreach, or event coordination preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in digital communication tools and social media platforms
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; flexible schedule including some weekends
