Student Accessibility & Testing

Job Description

The Testing Center provides a range of exam services for S&T students and members of surrounding communities. This key position provides administrative and proctoring support that contributes to the professional, efficient operation of the Testing center. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the integrity of exams, administering them in accordance with National College Testing Association (NCTA) standards and exam sponsor requirements
  • Organize daily exam schedules and seating to make efficient use of Testing Center resources
  • Work with student and faculty to coordinate student exam appointments
  • Communicate and coordinate with faculty to ensure exam materials are available for student appointments and exams are proctored according to faculty expectations
  • Ensure exam materials are kept secure
  • Professionally interact and collaboratively work with variety of constituents including students, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Obtain and maintain certification to proctor all third-party exams administered in the Testing Center
  • Supervise the Testing Center and student workers when the Testing Center Coordinator is our of the office
  • Respond to phone, in-person, and email inquiries

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and student and exam candidate privacy requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00-$19.00 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
