What you'll be doing...

The Manager will leverage their project management skillset to oversee large deployments of Verizon Business Group customer orders by coordinating inbound schedules, order processing and transportation logistics to meet customer and Verizon timeframes. The planning needed to avoid End of Life device planning, large deployment forecasting and delivery will require the candidate to work seamlessly across multiple organizations including Sales, Inventory, Supply Chain and Product teams. The Project Manager will possess a blend of business and technical expertise with a firm understanding of VZ systems.

The role has a strong problem-solving and organizational focus to aid planning across large scale multi month deployments, end of life product planning and out of stock situations. They will operate by leading peers from cross-functional teams including but not limited to Sales, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Device Product and Contracts. This individual will host weekly calls across multiple groups to uncover any potential constraints that can affect ongoing projects including vetting deals, coordinating emergency stock transfers, and managing the bulk reservation system through SAP. They will also look at future projects like Certified Pre Owned program for business for future expansion of the business product portfolio.

Their work will help maintain Verizon's leadership position by anticipating Business customer needs and shaping our future offerings to meet them.

  • End-to-end ownership of the project lifecycle from inception to post deployment to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Manage schedules across multiple teams, and work with respective peers to drive awareness and socialization.

  • Monitor voice of customer feedback post launch to gather key insights to help shape the product experience and future enhancements.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and drive project vision and distill a very strategic deployment plan.

  • Work closely with sales to ensure clear communication and deadlines are met across multiple groups.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in a project/program management, product development, portfolio strategy, or related field.

  • Two or more years in the wireless/telecommunications or related field.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree or MBA.

  • Experience with product launches and developing product roadmaps.

  • Experience in project management tools and techniques.

  • Passionate about learning about new wireless products, devices and software technology and application trends.

  • Experience with building cross-functional relationships in a fast paced, demanding environment.

  • Strong communication, presentation, decision making and negotiation skills.

  • Technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and effectively communicate across multiple disciplines.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $94,500.00 - $165,000.00.
