ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hiring Range: $113,800 - $138,000

The Manager of Implementations has oversight into the Implementation Project Management functions and team to ensure the most effective and efficient support for Performant's clientele. This role combines strategic program oversight with direct implementation project leadership along with the ability to onboard new clients through the full implementation lifecycle and/or launch new products and services for existing clients.

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Cultivate excellent relationships with external customers as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the implementation team to ensure technical alignment, delivery excellence, budgetary adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Function as the primary escalation point for implementation related risks, cross-functional dependencies, and technical challenges.
  • Establish processes and procedures for team communications, training of project managers, and continuous oversight of employee development.
  • Champion implementation best practices; process improvements, strategic efficiencies, and standardization across the implementation lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report the progress of implementations to upper management and key stakeholders regularly.
  • Drive innovation in project delivery, leveraging tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Suite of Products; Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint to optimize deliverables.
  • Ensure appropriate skills, staffing levels, and work allocation alignment to meet business needs in fast-paced, high growth dynamic environment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and client-specific requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
  • Accountable for department deliverables and KPIs aligned with business strategies and objectives, including management of implementation budgets.
  • Travel as required to Performant office(s), client office(s), or other business/industry meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:

  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, with competency applicable to leading solution-driven implementations.
  • Demonstrated success leading and managing department and remote teams of professional staff.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations, payment integrity, and client delivery models, including applicable state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to team of professionals driving operational implementations for diverse and complex business services and clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in implementation/project management tools including but not limited to: JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Suite of Products; Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead through influence, build trust, and foster collaboration across teams.
  • Strong business understanding along with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and external clients in a leadership capacity; strong presentation skills necessary.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and redesigning workflows and procedures to meet client requirements while ensuring alignment with internal development capabilities and functionality
  • Exhibits behaviors such as proactiveness, thinking long-term, and demonstrates a commitment to the business and our collective goals.
  • Acts as a change champion by being flexible and adaptable in a highly dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to create documentation outlining findings and/or documenting suggestions.
  • Strong general technical skills, including, but not limited to Desktop and MS Office applications.
  • Solid technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Adaptable to applying skills to diverse operational activities to support business needs.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in remote setting with minimum supervision and direction in the form of objectives.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related business or industry required. A significant number of years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience required; payment integrity specific experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in management capacity with direct reports.
  • 5+ years of client onboarding experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with external clients and cross-functional teams required.
