Position Overview

Vantage is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to lead and optimize the management of OFCI Equipment, a major cost component in construction. This role involves overseeing procurement operations, enhancing vendor relationships, managing complex contracts, and driving strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and supply chain partners, and must be willing to travel for vendor audits, factory testing, and site visits as needed.

Essential Job Functions

Procurement Support:

  • Assist the procurement team in daily tasks to ensure the department meets its goals.
  • Manage and assist with single line diagrams, product specifications, and driving OFCI Equipment submittals to approval.
  • Help coordinate the approval and release of the necessary equipment per construction schedule.
  • Be accountable for responsibilities to provide the proper service to Vantage and their customers.

Vendor Management:

  • Develop and implement vendor performance strategies to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor and report on equipment status with vendors, proactively addressing schedule risks.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships and evaluate vendor capabilities to align with Vantage's strategic goals.

RFIs and RFQs:

  • Lead sourcing efforts for critical equipment including switchgear, transformers, skids, CRAHs, chillers, generators, UPSs, and other data center systems.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, change orders, and submittals for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Provide strategic input on vendor selection and negotiation processes.

Financial and Compliance Oversight:

  • Utilize financial systems to manage purchase orders, invoice approvals, budget tracking, and project allocations.
  • Partner with Procurement Managers and Finance to resolve invoicing discrepancies and ensure accurate project costing.
  • Ensure procurement practices and vendor engagements comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Project Coordination:

  • Lead procurement-related project tasks and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Coordinate vendor support for equipment start-up and commissioning activities.
  • Facilitate clear communication with project teams to support successful project delivery.

Inventory and Safety Management:

  • Oversee equipment inventory planning and forecasting in collaboration with operations teams.
  • Ensure spare parts and service programs are in place and maintained in internal systems.
  • Conduct and review safety evaluations with vendors and on-site teams to ensure compliance.

Reporting and Process Improvement:

  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting systems and dashboards for procurement metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine specifications and ensure alignment with operational needs.

Additional Duties:

  • Take on additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain or construction procurement role is required.
  • Experience with data center, commercial, or industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of procurement best practices.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% and may increase as business needs evolve.
