With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry.
Your responsibilities
15% travel to thyssenkrupp facility in Veedersburg, Indiana. Duties include
- Responsible for company inventory oversight, leading cycle count, and physical inventory programs; monitor customer Electronic Data Interchange and report sales actuals and outlook
- analyze and report sales variation and trends
- develop strategic loadings and capacity planning, and monitor capacity utilization and report status
- lead weekly logistics meetings, pursue cost reductions, and ensure logistics processes KPI's are achieved
- schedule shipments and ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- manage inventory to meet targets, report discrepancies and projections, and schedule inbound raw material shipments
- perform daily oversight of planning activities, including raw material receipt and customer deliveries, and of logistics operation and warehousing activities
- supervise materials planner and logistics operations staff
- ensure compliance with Import and Export requirements.
Pay range: $60,653 - $82,000
Your profile
- Bachelor Degree in industrial engineering or closely related field of study, or equivalent foreign degree.
- 2 years of experience in a Buyer, Supply Chain, or closely related position, in the heavy duty on and off-road diesel crankshaft manufacturing industry.
- Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: analyzing and reporting weekly sales deviations and trends pertaining to industrial crankshafts
- tracking arrival of supplier trucks and managing missing or tardy deliveries
- updating loadings and capacity planning for short- and long-term periods to meet customer needs
- monitoring actual production performance compared to planned production activities and determining actions
- monitoring capacity utilization status and deviation from plan; and leading cycle count and physical inventory programs.
