Builds and repairs machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments. Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs and molds. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead the work or direct others. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Key Responsibilities:

* Designs / enhances fixtures, templates, tools and dies while holding .0002 tolerance at a consistent basis.
* Programs and operates Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) equipment in the shop and in explosive production areas.
* Operates any and all machine shop equipment as required.
* Uses hand tools and power equipment to construct, repair, maintain, adjust and calibrate machine shop tools, jigs, fixtures, dies and other similar equipment.
* Performs heat treating task

* Ability to design fixtures, templates, tools and dies.
* Thorough understanding of blueprints and specifications.
* Works within precision tolerances.
* Program and operate CNC machining equipment.
* Proficency with electrical and heli arc welding.

And if you have these qualifications:

* High school or GED required, Associates degree in machining or equivalent preferred.
* Minumum of 5 years relevant experience.
* Completion of certified apprenticeship or Associates degree in machining.
* Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant drivers license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
* Government clearance may be required.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $33 - $41/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)

* Ability to read complex documents in the English language
* Capacity to reason and make sound decisions
* Ability to write complex documents in the English language
* Capacity to express thoughts orally
* Expertise in: EXCEL, WORD, CADD (Revit/Bentley)
* Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment
* Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Companys office or worksite
* Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.
