POSITION

Allspring Engineering and Technology is looking for a highly skilled Optimizely Engineer to join our Client Journey Management MarComm Technology Team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering secure, personalized, and data-driven digital experiences. This person will play a key role in building and optimizing customer journeys using the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (DXP), ODP, Experimentation and Personalization tools with seamless integration into Salesforce Data Cloud and CRM to enhance client engagement and retention.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for development of C# backend and Sass-based frontend code development for our two externally facing websites (allspringglobal.com and galliard.com) as well as our home office intranet, all of which are built upon the Optimizely (formerly EPiServer) content management system.



  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications using Optimizely CMS/DXP tailored to financial services clients.
  • Implement and manage A/B testing, personalization, and content targeting strategies using Optimizely Experimentation and Personalization.
  • Integrate Optimizely CMS and ODP with Salesforce Data Cloud and CRM to enable real-time personalization and data synchronization across platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, compliance, and product teams to translate business goals into technical solutions that meet regulatory standards.
  • Deliver features, solutions and fix issues within an Agile-like Scrum/Kanban hybrid framework using JIRA
  • Ensure digital experiences are optimized for performance, accessibility, and SEO with SiteImprove, while maintaining strict data privacy and security protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze test results and user behavior with Adobe Analytics to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain technical documentation and architectural/solution diagrams, participate in code reviews and QA processes.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years working with Optimizely CMS/DXP.
  • Experience integrating Optimizely CMS/DXP with Optimizely ODP, Experimentation and Personalization.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce CRM, including APIs, data models, and integration best practices.
  • Proficiency in .NET/C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) using Sass and Node.js.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations (e.g., GDPR, FINRA, SEC) and secure development practices like OWASP and defensive programming.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently to determine a solution/technical approach given specific technical and business requirements.
  • Self-driven and excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with QA Automation tools like Selenium and/or Cucumber is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and/or OneTrust is a plus.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Optimizely certifications (e.g., Optimizely Certified Developer).
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer I).
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS architecture and composable DXP strategies.


Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
