MUST:

Experienced Infosec/Cybersecurity Specialist

10+ years of experience required

Working Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST Publications, including NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-171.

In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, networking, client/server platforms, web-based applications, operating systems, databases, and commercial off-the-shelf applications.

Experience in working with FAA Air Traffic Control systems and knowledge of FAA's cybersecurity program.

Must have a strong desire to solve customer problems by applying analytical skills and must have strong writing abilities.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for direct customer interaction and high-level management interface.

Bachelors in IT or Cyber required

DUTIES:

Provide information assurance functions for assigned information systems by enforcing cybersecurity compliance rules and regulations and performing system security documentation quality control services. The position requires working in close collaboration with information system program offices to meet the requirements of the FAA's cybersecurity program. General responsibilities include:

  1. Develop and update FAA cybersecurity instructional guidance, reference material, and templates for the generation of system acquisition/development Information System Security Assessment (ISSA) documentation and support system program offices in generating these documents.
  2. Develop, review, and update FAA cybersecurity program documents, including Orders, Memos, Notices, Change Proposals, Advisory Circulars (AC), Implementation Strategy Planning Documents (ISPD), Program Requirements Documents (PRD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Generic Site Implementation Plans (GSIP), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP).
  3. Provide cybersecurity representation for the FAA Architecture Review Board (ARB), including reviewing system design and process documentation and providing recommended security modifications.
  4. Provide instructional guidance and reference material to FAA information system program offices for the development of security authorization documentation and support system program offices in generating these documents.
  5. Develop, review, and update FAA policies/requirements for protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) as defined in NIST SP 800-171.
  6. Review FAA system network flow addition/modification requests (Internet Protocol Supplemental Forms, Requirements Change Board) for cybersecurity policy compliance.
