Job Summary

This position will be supporting Canteen, a sector of Compass Group, focused on unattended retail solutions

for clients and consumers across the US. The Team Coach is responsible for leading, facilitating, and

motivating the Scrum Teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile products

that provide exceptional business value to users. This role will be responsible for serving several concurrent

high visibility product teams using the Scaled Agile Framework in a fast-paced environment across many lines

of business.

The Team Coach is a servant leader to the Scrum Team, Product Owner and organization who serves by

upholding Scrum as prescribed by the Scaled Agile and provides coaching at all levels in an emerging agile

environment. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal

skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills, as well as a passion for agile practices and emerging

technologies. In addition to being a seasoned, well trained professional, the successful candidate will be a

strategic thinker with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with technology leaders

and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serving the Scrum Team by resolving impediments, helping the team to focus on creating value each
  • Sprint and providing continuous coaching on how to apply the Scaled Agile Framework
  • Serving the Product Owner by helping to manage the Product Backlog as needed, assisting in clearly
  • communicating goals and work items to the Scrum Team. and facilitating communication between the
  • Scrum Team and its stakeholders when necessary
  • Facilitating collaboration cross-team where dependencies exist
  • Ensuring the team holds all Scrum Events including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Sprint Review and
  • Sprint Retrospective in a productive way within the prescribed timebox
  • Monitoring key metrics on the team's performance to drive understanding of velocity and increaseoverall effectiveness
  • Ensuring all artifacts are transparent to the organization and stakeholders to promote quick andcollaborative decision making
  • Helping teams take feedback from the Sprint Retrospective and turn it into process improvementitems
  • Ensuring teams are adhering to the Definition of Done
  • Working in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Product Operations and other members of agile
  • leadership to promote continued growth and maturity of agile practices within the organization
  • Coaching teams on preparation for and execution of the PI Planning event, ensuring the teams areready and the event is productive
  • Fostering an environment of trust within the Scrum Teams that promotes the values of Scrum
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Team Coach or Scrum Master
  • Agile practitioner mindset with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-orientedenvironments, and iterative development practices.
  • Ability to apply SAFe principles to help solve complex problems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT full development life cycle.
  • Background in data analytics or as Business Analyst preferred O Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people. Ability to establish immediate credibility with teams, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
